Members entrusted with governance responsibilities in accordance with the Constitution, approved appointments and decisions of SLAHDA's authorized bodies.
Membership framework
Participation under clear governance
Membership is administered under the SLAHDA Constitution submitted to the National Secretariat for Non-Governmental Organizations and the regulations, policies and decisions adopted by SLAHDA's authorized bodies.
Submitting an application or expression of interest does not automatically create membership, a Board appointment, employment, consultancy, project assignment or entitlement to SLAHDA funds or assets. Every admission remains subject to verification, approval and formal notification.
Membership categories
Five forms of participation
Each category has a distinct purpose. Rights, duties and eligibility are governed by the Constitution and applicable membership regulations.
General Members
Persons selected for relevant qualifications, experience and their ability to contribute to approved SLAHDA programmes and public-benefit activities.
Student Members
Students who participate voluntarily in suitable programmes according to their interests, abilities, safeguarding requirements and the needs of each activity.
Honorary Members
Distinguished individuals recognized for significant support to SLAHDA's mission. Honorary membership does not carry voting rights.
Volunteer Members
People who wish to contribute their time and abilities to approved programmes, subject to the applicable eligibility, conduct and safeguarding requirements.
Application pathway
From application to formal recognition
Membership records are created only after the applicable review and approval process has been completed.
Application
The applicant provides the required personal, professional and membership-category information.
Review
SLAHDA verifies eligibility, supporting information, declarations and the most appropriate membership category.
Decision
The application is considered by the authorized SLAHDA body. Submission does not itself create membership.
Recognition
Approved applicants receive formal notification, membership records and the documents applicable to their category.

The Members area will provide the approved membership application, Code of Conduct, compliance declarations, privacy information, member notices and category-specific resources as each controlled document is finalized.

Integrity before entitlement
Members are expected to protect beneficiaries, respect confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest, comply with safeguarding and anti-bribery requirements, and use SLAHDA's name and resources only with proper authority.
Membership provides opportunities for service, learning and participation. It does not confer ownership of SLAHDA assets, profit-sharing rights, preference in procurement, or an automatic right to employment, consultancy or paid project appointments.
