Membership framework
Participation under clear governance
Membership is administered under the SLAHDA Constitution submitted to the National Secretariat for Non-Governmental Organizations and the regulations, policies and decisions adopted by SLAHDA's authorized bodies.
An expression of interest or application does not automatically create membership, a Board appointment, employment, consultancy, project assignment or entitlement to SLAHDA funds or assets.
Membership categories
Five forms of participation
General, Student and Volunteer membership accept expressions of interest. Honorary and Governing membership are by nomination or authorized appointment only.
General Members
Persons selected for relevant qualifications, experience and ability to contribute to approved public-benefit activities.
Student Members
Students participating voluntarily in suitable programmes, subject to programme and safeguarding requirements.
Honorary Members
Distinguished individuals recognized for significant support to SLAHDA's mission, without voting rights.
Volunteer Members
People contributing time and abilities to approved programmes, subject to eligibility, conduct and safeguarding requirements.
How to join SLAHDA
From interest to formal recognition
The category application is issued only after SLAHDA reviews the initial Letter of Interest and CV.

Review the categories and download the controlled English Letter of Interest template.
Prepare
Complete and sign the letter, convert it to PDF, and prepare a current CV.
Send the signed PDF letter and current CV to info@slahda.org. Do not include identity documents.
Acknowledgement
SLAHDA records the expression of interest and provides an acknowledgement or reference.
Invitation
If suitable, SLAHDA privately issues the relevant category application and secure access instructions.
Application
The invited applicant completes and submits the assigned controlled application and declarations.
Review
SLAHDA verifies eligibility, supporting information and the appropriate membership category.
Decision
The authorized SLAHDA body considers the application and issues formal recognition if approved.

A controlled centre for applications, policies and member documents
The public Members area explains the process and provides the Letter of Interest. Category applications, declarations and member resources are released only through the applicable controlled access route.
Document language policy: All official membership forms, declarations, policies, controlled downloads and authoritative document versions are issued in English only.

Download the English template, complete and sign it, convert the duly completed letter to PDF, and email it with your current CV to info@slahda.org.

Membership document titles
Titles are displayed for public reference. Except for the Letter of Interest, documents are issued only through the applicable controlled process.

Category-specific applications are not public downloads. If SLAHDA invites you to apply, access instructions will be issued directly to you.

Member responsibilities
Integrity before entitlement
Members must protect beneficiaries, respect confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest, comply with safeguarding and anti-bribery requirements, and use SLAHDA's name and resources only with proper authority.
Membership offers opportunities for service and learning; it does not confer ownership, profit-sharing, procurement preference or an automatic right to paid work.
