1. Acceptance and operator
This site is operated by Sri Lanka Aid and Humanitarian Development Agency (SLAHDA). By using it, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you disagree, discontinue use. Organisational users confirm their authority.
2. Informational purpose
The site provides public information about SLAHDA, projects, opportunities and engagement. Concepts, locations, budgets, schedules, approvals, partners, funding and expected outcomes may change after feasibility work, due diligence or written approval. Nothing here is legal, financial, investment, engineering or medical advice.
3. Acceptable use
You may view and share links to public content. You must not break the law; compromise security; introduce malicious code; scrape or overload the service; impersonate others; infringe rights; misuse beneficiary information; or submit deceptive, abusive, discriminatory, unlawful or unnecessary sensitive material.
4. Enquiries and professional submissions
An enquiry, CV, expression of interest or proposal does not create employment, consultancy, procurement, partnership, agency, fiduciary or other binding relations. Engagement requires due diligence, approvals and an authorised written agreement. Do not send confidential information unless invited through an appropriate channel.
5. Donations, CSR funding and project finance
A pledge or donation is complete only when accepted through an authorised channel. Activated payment facilities are subject to banking, identification, receipt, restricted-fund, anti-fraud and reporting procedures. Unless law or agreed policy requires otherwise, completed donations are generally non-refundable; report errors, duplicates or unauthorised use promptly. A donation or CSR grant creates no ownership, profit, interest, repayment or investment rights. Commercial arrangements require separate lawful documentation.
6. Restricted gifts and project changes
SLAHDA seeks to apply restricted gifts to their accepted purpose. If it becomes unlawful, impossible or impracticable, SLAHDA will contact the donor where reasonably possible and act under the donation terms, law and responsible charitable practice. Funding may be declined if its source or conditions conflict with law, safeguarding, independence or mission.
7. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, SLAHDA owns or may use the site design, logo, text, photographs and original material. Brief extracts may be quoted with accurate attribution for non-commercial information or education. Reproduction, alteration, commercial exploitation, false endorsement, removal of notices or reuse of beneficiary images requires written permission. Third-party rights remain reserved.
8. Your submissions
You retain rights in material lawfully submitted and give SLAHDA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, review and use it for its submitted purpose and related administration, reporting or safeguarding. You confirm authority to provide it. Public use of stories or images remains subject to privacy and safeguarding controls.
9. External services
Government, partner, social-media, banking and other links are provided for convenience. SLAHDA does not control or guarantee their content, availability, security or practices; their own terms apply.
10. Availability and accuracy
SLAHDA takes reasonable care but does not promise uninterrupted access or that every item is always complete, error-free or current. Content or functions may be corrected, updated, suspended or withdrawn. Material errors affecting stakeholders will be corrected transparently where practicable.
11. Responsibility and limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, use is at the user’s risk and SLAHDA is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general website information or third-party services. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited.
12. Misuse
Where permitted by law, a user who deliberately or unlawfully misuses the site is responsible for reasonable loss, claims and costs directly caused. This does not apply to ordinary good-faith use or limit statutory rights.
13. Privacy and safeguarding
Use is governed by the Privacy Policy. Content about children or vulnerable persons must not be reused in ways causing harm, stigma, exploitation or unwanted identification. Report safeguarding concerns to info@slahda.org.
14. Governing law and disputes
Sri Lankan law governs these terms. Parties should first attempt good-faith written resolution. Subject to mandatory law or an agreed alternative process, Sri Lankan courts have jurisdiction. Non-waivable rights available elsewhere remain unaffected.
15. Changes and contact
Effective 1 August 2026. Updates apply from posting and material changes will be identified. Questions and permission requests: info@slahda.org.
